Dr. Senel is currently the Associate Professor and Chairman at Karadeniz Technical University, School of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Trabzon, Turkey.
She received her DDS degree from the University of Ankara, Ankara, Turkey, in 1994. Also at the University of Ankara, she obtained her PhD degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, in 2001.
Dr. Senel worked as a research fellow in The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC between 2001–2002. She also participated in the “Introduction to the principles and practice of clinical research program” at The National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Senel has been working as a chairman in Karadeniz Technical University, School of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since 2004 and became associate professor in 2007. She is an active member of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Society and the Turkish Dental Association. She has numerous publications; her research interest are biomaterials, conscious sedation, advanced implant surgery, trauma and bisphosphonate- related ostenecrosis of the jaws.
