Dr. George Obeid, DDS
Dr. Obeid received his DDS degree from the University of Damascus, Syria in 1971. After graduation he received oral and maxillofacial surgery training in England at The Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, Sheffield; West Norwich Hospital, Norwich; Eastman Dental Hospital, London and Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead. He then obtained his American certificate in oral and maxillofacial surgery from the Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC.

Dr. Obeid joined the faculty at the Washington Hospital Center in 1987 and has served as the chairman and director of the residency training program of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department since 1994.
Dr. Obeid is a consultant for the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association. Dr. Obeid served on the Advisory Committee for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and was a board examiner for six years. He is also a member of the craniofacial team at Children's National Medical Center, Washington DC, with a focus on craniofacial anomalies and cleft lip and palate.

Dr. Obeid has published in several scientific journals and throughout his career, he has been involved in the clinical training of residents.
